1 THE RACE

1.0 The 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back race (TIBB) race will be conducted using the virtual sailing game Sailaway in its latest installment.

1.1 The Hague Iceland Back to Back (TIBB) race results count for The Europe Race for IMOCA 60 full manual division. Particularly offline efficiency will be set to 88.5 %. A 11.5 % penalty will be applied to boats sailing off-line.

1.2 The TIBB ( The Hague Iceland Back to Back ) will start on March 1st 2023 with the TIBB Leg 0 Prologue at 17:10 UTC. The TIBB prologue will be published 4 weeks prior for testing purposes.

1.2.1 The RC will add repeats of the TIBB Prologue on days following the start of the first TIBB Prologue. Start time of TIBB Leg 0 Prologues will always be XX:10 UTC.

1.3 Final dates and times for the TIBB Legs 1 though 4 will be published at a later date, but no later then 7 days before the start of the Prologue.

1.4 Racing Schedule

# TIBB Leg 1 The Hague – Cardiff starts on Friday March 8th 2024 at 17:10 UTC and is expected to take no more then 72 hrs (3 x 24 hrs) to finish. The RC will shorten the course to meet the time table.

# TIBB Leg 2 Cardiff – Reykjavik starts on Friday March 15th 2024 at 17:10 UTC and is expected to take at least 144 hrs ( 6 x 24 + 12 hrs) and no more then 168 hrs (7 x 24 hrs) to finish. The RC may shorten, or lengthen the course to meet the time table.

# TIBB Leg 3 Reykjavik – Göteborg starts on Friday March 22nd 2024 at 17:10 UTC. and is expected to take at least 132 hrs (5 x 24 + 12 hrs) and no more then 168 hrs (7 x 24 hrs) to finish. The RC may shorten, or lengthen the course to meet the time table.

# TIBB Leg 4 Göteborg – The Hague starts on Friday March 29th 2024 at 17:10 UTC. and is expected to take at least 72 hrs (3 x 24 + 12 hrs) and no more then 168 hrs (7 x 24 hrs) to finish. The RC may shorten, or lengthen the course to meet the time table.

1.5 This Notice of Race can be amended. Amendments will be published on the e-offshore-racing website.

1.6 Boats are herewith notified that ongoing testing may render the timetable obsolete. Organizers may opt to postpone legs of the TIBB until such a time the time table can work.

2 REGISTRATION

2.1 Participating in a TIBB Prologue is available for all e-sailors.

2.2 Registration is available on the e-offshore-racing website.

2.3 Boat entering the race not registered, will be registered by the Organizing Authority.

2.4 Deleted.

2.5 There is no registration fee.

3 RULES

3.1 Documents, or links to public locations of those documents, governing the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back will be published on the Sailaway Discord server, and on the e-offshore-racing website.

3.2 The 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back is governed by the rules as defined in Sailing World Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) found at Sailing World Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2021-2024

and the Sailing Instructions SI for the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back to be published no later then 14 days before the start of Leg 1.

3.3 By registering a boat to participate in the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back, or by sailing on a registered boat e-sailors accept the rules and terms of the race as set out in this Notice of Race.

3.4 If a player behaves in a way that contradicts the rules and terms of engagement set out in this Notice of

Race, or those set out in 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back Sailing Instructions, The Hague Iceland Back to Back Race Committee has the right to disqualify the player from the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back Sailing.

3.5 Individual e-sailors are not allowed to crew on more than one boat in the race. Individual e-sailors are not allowed to register more then one boat to the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back.

3.6 The race will be only conducted in the IMOCA class.

3.7 In offline mode speed will be reduced to 88.5% of the nominal speed under the conditions at that time. Steering by autopilot in off line mode can be by autopilot following waypoints set by the player.

3.8 Boat handling in online mode will be 100% manually. Autopilot can be set to either to steer compass course or to steer by maintaining true wind angle.

3.9 Of the 4 legs raced, one (1) the worst Leg, will be scored 0 (zero) points. If applicable one DNS will be scored 0.

3.10 The player with the lowest total of points over the 4 Legs will be declared winner.

4 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

4.1 There is no age restriction on registering for the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back. If a player under the age of 18 years old qualifies for prices, any prices must be accepted by a parent or legal guardian who

must consent to the event rules and the acceptance of the prices.

5 MEDIA RIGHTS

5.1 By participating in an event of the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back, players automatically grant to The Hague Iceland Back to Back, the organizers, Sailaway developers Orbcreation b.v and their sponsors, the right in perpetuity to make, use and show, from time to time at their discretion, any live, taped or filmed reproductions, in game video streams and of the player during the period of the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back without compensation.

6 INFORMATION

6.1 Sailing Instructions (SI) for the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back will present changes to the Sailing World Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

8 CODE OF CONDUCT

8.1 Players must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner, maintaining a friendly and polite demeanor to

spectators, members of the press, other players, the 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back organizers, Sailaway developers Orbcreation b.v employees and World Sailing. All players are expected to adhere to the standards of good sportsmanship.

8.2 Players and support persons shall comply with any reasonable request from 2024 The Hague Iceland Back to Back organizers and Sailaway developers Orbcreation b.v employees.

8.3 At Live or real-world events, players shall handle any equipment provided with proper care, and in compliance with any written instructions.

8.4 Race organizers may reduce or remove a prize in the case of misconduct or refusal to comply with any reasonable request.
